Job Description

We have an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer to join one of our highly reputable clients as a Senior Property Lawyer.

Based in Derby, Full time, Permanent position paying up to £35K DOE + Non-contractual bonus, 25days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunchbreak.

As a Senior Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of sale and purchase matters which will include: Leasehold, New Build and Shared Ownership Properties.

With the support of your assistant, you will manage your caseload both individually and as a department, ensuring that the team complete their work in a timely manner and without compromising on quality. Working to deadlines and KPI's, you will ensure that targets are consistently met. 

You will be responsible for organising performance reviews, team meetings and 121’s along with training sessions, in order to further develop the team.

Reporting to the senior management and stakeholders will also be expected, as well as discussion on department and individual performances.

 

Requirements 

As a Senior Property Lawyer, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a senor role as a successful conveyancing fee earner.

Your expertise will include dealing with household, leasehold, new build and shared occupancy housing

You will also need experience of acting on behalf of small developers, new build contracts, Transfers of Part and Deeds of Easements.

Strong keyboard skills will also be essential, with the ability to use Case management systems, the Land registry portal, online SLDT etc.  You must be able to demonstrate your technical ability in conveyancing transactions. 

Comprehensive knowledge of anti-money laundering, CQS requirements and over all SRA compliance will also be essential for this role.
